CONFLICT RESOLUTION EXPERIENCE
Mr. Omansky has been a successful trial lawyer for more than three decades and has tried more than 100 jury trials to verdict, including the landmark cases Faye L. Willard v. Carl R. Hagemeister et al; Virgil U. Tillery v. Kenneth J. Richland; Michelle H. Brown, etc. v. Sup. Ct. of LA; West Hills Medical Center et al; and Calif. Physicians’ Service et. al v. Sup. Ct. of LA.
He tried the first case in Los Angeles County based on the Elam hospital liability decision. Mr. Omansky is an expert in litigating “foreign body” matters in which clamps, needles, sponges or other items were inadvertently left in a patient’s body. He is frequently called by sitting judges and attorneys for expert opinions and has testified as an expert witness.
Mr. Omansky has practiced law at several prestigious firms and most recently was a partner at Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith from December 1996 to January 1999. He specialized in medical malpractice law at his own firm in Encino from 1979 to 1990, where he represented Humana and HCA (now HCII).
