John D. Weiss, Esq.

Drawing upon more than 25 years of diversified legal experience including all areas of litigation, trial, appellate practice and mediation, John D. Weiss has brought his considerable ability to secure settlement in hundreds of disputes. Mr. Weiss strikes a balance between observation and active listening with a dispassionate but forceful evaluation of the facts and law. Mr. Weiss was named as a Southern California Super Lawyer in 2009 and 2010 by Los Angeles Magazine.

investigations.

CONFLICT RESOLUTION EXPERIENCE

John Weiss has mediated hundreds of disputes through ARC and as a member of numerous court panels. Mr. Weiss has served as a principal in the Law Offices of John D. Weiss since 1981, where he has focused primarily on resolution of employment matters in state and federal courts and agencies. Mr. Weiss has also acted as legal counsel to individuals, partnerships and corporations on labor and employment-related issues and creation and compliance monitoring of 501(c)(3) status for six non-profit corporations.

As a member of NELA, Mr. Weiss was selected by its leadership to incorporate and secure tax exempt status for Workplace Fairness formerly known as the National Employment Rights Institute (NERI). He acted as Chief Financial Officer of NERI and provided legal oversight. He is currently serving as Affiliate Coordinator between NELA and its Los Angeles chapter.
