CONFLICT RESOLUTION EXPERIENCE
John Stockdale has been active as a mediator and arbitrator for many years. He has mediated over 250 cases for the Los Angeles Superior Court and has been settlement officer for Santa Monica Superior Court in its Crash program for a number of years. He has also served as a private mediator. He has an excellent reputation with the plaintiffs’ bar as well as the defense bar. A top-rated attorney and a Diplomate in the American Board of Trial Advocates, Mr. Stockdale has handled thousands of plaintiff and other tort matters from the most simple to the most devastating.
Prior to obtaining his law degree, Mr. Stockdale spent five years as a multi-line adjuster and claims representative for General Accident Insurance Company; two years with Western Casualty and Surety Company as an assistant claims manager; and two years with Houston Fire and Casualty Insurance Company and General Insurance Corporation as assistant claims manager for the West Coast. Before launching his own law firm, he was a trial lawyer with the firm of Parker, Stanbury, McGee, Peckham & Garrett. Mr. Stockdale founded his own firm in 1963 which subsequently became Stockdale, Peckham, Estes, Ramsey, Lawler & Iorillo.
