Justice Daniel Curry brings a wealth of legal and business experience to his practice as a private neutral. A commercial trial attorney and corporate counsel for nearly 30 years, he was appointed to the Superior Court bench in 1992. Justice Curry heard a broad range of Fast Track cases in downtown Los Angeles and in Santa Monica, where he sat in the law and motion department. He was elevated to Division 4 of the 2nd District Court of Appeal in 1998 and authored more than 800 opinions. Justice Curry has gained a reputation as a no-nonsense judge who takes a genuine interest in a case and makes a succinct ruling. Attorneys appreciate his background as a litigator and transactional lawyer and his thorough understanding of corporation and case law. Justice Curry is admitted to practice in California, New York and Hawaii.
Justice Curry began his legal career as a judge advocate in the U.S. Air Force. From 1964-1967, he was an associate at Wolford, Johnson, Pike & Covell, and Demetriou & Del Guercio. He served as counsel at Technicolor from 1967-70 and as senior vice president and general counsel at Amfac, Inc. from 1970-87. He became vice president and general counsel of the Times Mirror Co. in 1987 and remained there until he was appointed to the bench by Gov. Pete Wilson.
