Hon. Robert Feinerman, Ret.
Justice Feinerman was recognized by the Los Angeles Daily Journal as one of the 30 Top Neutrals of 2006, where he was described as “willing to carefully listen to both sides” and to have “a penetrating analysis of right and wrong, and quite frankly, he’s seldom wrong.” Justice Feinerman was also selected by the Daily Journal as one of California’s top neutrals in 2002 and 2003. Since his retirement as a Presiding Justice of the California Court of Appeal, Justice Feinerman has been engaged full time in private dispute resolution as a mediator, arbitrator and private judge and has handled a broad spectrum of complex civil litigation.

During 25 years on the bench, Justice Feinerman served as Administrative Presiding Justice of the California Court of Appeal, Second District, and as Presiding Judge of Division Five. He also served by assignment on the California Supreme Court. He spent 17 years as a judge of the Los Angeles County Superior Court, where he handled civil and law & motion matters.

Justice Feinerman has lectured extensively at law schools and is a frequent speaker at CEB -programs and other judicial and legal seminars. He has written and published articles in law reviews and bar journals on a variety of legal topics.
