He served as senior trial counsel in defense of medical malpractice lawsuits for Hemer & Barkus from April to November 2005. He was the principal in the Law Office of William N. McMillan from 1998-2005, where he practiced as a plaintiff’s attorney handling medical malpractice and product liability cases. Mr. McMillan received the largest verdict at the time in a medical malpractice case against the County of Los Angeles.

Mr. McMillan has received mediation training from the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution at Pepperdine University School of Law.
