Hon. Berbard Selber, Ret.
Judge Selber is one of the most renowned and experienced neutrals in the state. He has settled thousands of cases over the past 16 years. He is a seasoned professional and “a quick study” who readily garners the respect of counsel and the litigants.

He retired after 18 years on the Los Angeles County Superior Court, where he was given “the highest ratings across the board” for his legal knowledge and settlement ability. As a settlement officer, this jurist is known for his ability to “develop the issues,” that will bring the parties to a resolution of their disputes.

Judge Selber chaired numerous Superior Court committees, served as Supervising Judge for the West District, and he sat on assignment to the Second District Court of Appeal for seven months. Judge Selber’s service to the community and dedication to his work have earned him an array of awards and accolades; among them, “Judge of the Year,” and the “Judicial Excellence Award.”
