Drawing upon more than 25 years of diversified legal experience includin all areas of litigation, trial, appellate practice and mediation, John D. Weiss brings his considerable ability to secure settlement to each and every dispute. Mr. Weiss strikes a balance between observation and active listening with a dispassionate but forceful evaluation of the facts and law.

Mr. Weiss has served as a principal in the Law Offices of John D. Weiss since 1981, where he has focused primarily on resolution of employment matters in state and federal courts and agencies. Mr. Weiss has also acted as legal counsel to individuals, partnerships and corporations on labor and employment-related issues and creation and compliance monitoring of 501(c)(3) status for six non-profit corporations.

As a member of NELA, Mr. Weiss was selected by its leadership to incorporate and secure tax exempt status for Workplace Fairness formerly known as the National Employment Rights Institute (NERI). He acted as Chief Financial Officer of NERI and provided legal oversight. He is currently serving as Affiliate Coordinator between NELA and its Los Angeles chapter.
