ARC WAS FOUNDED IN 1987 by Lee Friedman and Steven Davis, entrepreneurs whose mission was to promote mediation and arbitration as practical solutions to crowded courtrooms and expensive litigation. In 1990, ADR marketing and business development expert Amy Newman joined the ARC team.
